1. About the Event
General information about RSR Challenge events, venues and start times.
The RSR Challenge Series 5k and the RSR Challenge 10k are accurately measured distance-running events operated by Singapore Shufflers Pte Ltd. Event details, including the distance, location, date and start time, are shown on the relevant registration pages.
The RSR Challenge Series 5K events currently take place at East Coast Park and the RSR Challenge 10K events currently take place at West Coast Park. The exact venue and course information is displayed on the relevant registration pages.
Events take place on public paths that remain open to pedestrians, cyclists and other users. Participants must keep left, remain alert and follow all instructions from Event marshals and officials.
8:00 pm. Participants should arrive early enough to collect their bibs, warm up and be at the start-line 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
2. Eligibility
Minimum-age and parent or guardian consent requirements.
For the RSR Challenge Series 5k, Participants must be at least 15 years old on 31 December of the calendar year in which the Event takes place. This means a Participant may be 14 on the Event date if they will turn 15 later in the same calendar year.
For the RSR Challenge 10k, Participants must be at least 16 years old on the day of the Event.
Yes. A Participant under 18 on the Event date must have consent from their parent or legal guardian in order to take part. An online consent form should be submitted at registration.
3. Registration
How to enter, booking options and the information required.
Complete the online registration form, accept the Event Terms and Privacy Policy, and complete payment.
Your entry is confirmed only when payment has been successfully completed and registration confirmation has been issued.
Online registration closes at 12:00 pm on the day of the Event or earlier if the Event reaches capacity. Limited registration is available at the bib-collection desk on the day of the Event but contact us beforehand to check availability.
Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
4. Withdrawals, Transfers and Refunds
Rules for cancellations, transfers, credits and Event cancellation.
You may inform us if you are unable to participate, but entry fees are normally non-refundable if you withdraw, do not attend, arrive too late to start, do not finish, finish outside the cut-off or are disqualified.
Yes, provided we receive the transfer request at least 24 hours before the scheduled start. The transfer is valid only after it has been approved and confirmed by us.
5. Before the Event
Pre-event instructions, equipment, baggage and weather decisions.
Baggage storage is not provided. Any belongings are left at the Participant’s own risk.
When reasonably necessary because of lightning, excessive heat, unsafe air quality, flooding, unsafe course conditions, venue or path closure, public-health or security concerns, or another circumstance affecting safety, we may postpone the start of the Event until it is safe to continue. Updates will be given on site and via social media. Should adverse conditions look to persist beyond 9pm, the Event may be cancelled.
6. Race Rules and Safety
Bib, equipment, pacing and participant-safety requirements.
Your assigned bib and personal running light must be clearly visible on the front of your clothing throughout the Event so that you are easily visible to the public, oncoming runners, marshals and officials.
A missing bib or light may result in no official result or disqualification.
Running lights can be purchased at bib-collection for SGD 7.00 or from Decathlon.
Unless specifically authorised, bicycles, scooters, inline skates, roller shoes, skateboards, prams or push cars, animals and other wheeled recreational devices are not permitted on the course.
Unofficial pacers and non-registered runners accompanying a Participant are not permitted.
Yes. An Event official, marshal or medical professional may prevent you from starting or require you to stop where continuing appears unsafe. You must stop if instructed to do so.

You should not take part against medical advice and should consult a medical professional before participating if you have an existing condition, recent illness or injury, or any concern about your ability to exercise safely.
7. Timing and Results
Gun timing, cut-offs, result publication and corrections.
No, the Events are hand-timed.
- RSR Challenge Series 5k: 30 min 00 sec
- RSR Challenge 10k: 55 min 00 sec (with an interim cut-off of 24 min 30 sec at 4.6k)
Participants finishing after the cut-off may not receive an official result, ranking or age grade.
Results will be published on the Run Singapore Rankings website as soon as reasonably practicable following the Event.

8. Sex, Categories and Age Grading
How competition categories and age-grading factors are applied.
This information is used to determine the applicable rankings category and age-grading factors.
Participants selecting Other or Prefer Not To Say will have their age grade calculated using the applicable male factors and be included in the male rankings.
9. Public Results and Privacy
Information included in the public sporting record and information kept private.
Yes. Inaccurate results or personal information may be corrected by contacting us via the Submit Result page on the website.
Photographs and video may be recorded for Event administration, reporting and documenting the Event, results and highlights, and promotion of RSR Challenge Events, Run Singapore Rankings or Singapore Shufflers Pte Ltd. You can send reasonable requests concerning future use of a clearly identifiable close-up image to us via the appropriate form on the Submit Result page. It may not be possible to remove general crowd images, printed materials, recordings already distributed or third-party reposts.
10. Communications
Essential Event messages, optional marketing and contact details.
Essential registration, payment, safety, reminder, results and Event-update messages may be sent as part of administering your entry.
We may also send news about future RSR Challenge Events and Run Singapore Rankings. You may unsubscribe from news and promotional communications without affecting essential messages for an Event you have entered.
